Vasculitis (ANCA)

Vasculitis involves inflammation of the blood vessels. The inflammation can cause the walls of the blood vessels to thicken, which reduces the width of the passageway through the vessel. If blood flow is restricted, it can result in organ and tissue damage. There are many types of vasculitis, and most of them are rare. ANCA vasculitis is a type of autoimmune disease that causes vasculitis. ANCA stands for Anti-Neutrophilic Cytoplasmic Autoantibody. All of these terms will be explained here, including how the disease works and what we can do for it. It is a disease where the immune system attacks and damages blood vessels in this group of autoimmune diseases. Vasculitis can affect any organ, so symptoms vary widely and can occur almost anywhere in the body.
